Finding a personal trainer can be frustrating filters are often unclear, prices aren’t transparent, and personalization is lacking. Without verified credentials or reviews, trust is low. Plus, the communication and booking process is usually scattered across multiple platforms, creating unnecessary friction.
The fitness industry is growing fast, with increasing demand for tailored coaching. But the market is highly competitive. Trainers struggle to stand out, and clients struggle to choose. Pricing differs by experience, session type, and location. Certification and credibility matter users are more likely to trust and hire verified professionals.
The platform is built for two main user groups: Personal Trainers – Professionals with a unique style, specialized training methods, and a desire to grow their client base. They use the platform to present their approach, showcase credentials, and get discovered by people looking for exactly what they offer. Clients – Individuals searching for a personal trainer who fits their goals, budget, and preferences. They expect transparency clear pricing, verified qualifications, reviews, and a simple way to connect and book sessions without back-and-forth communication.
To understand the needs of both personal trainers and clients, I adopted a task-based approach, focusing on how each group interacts with the platform to achieve their goals. The research involved sorting and defining tasks specific to each user type. I conducted interviews with personal trainers to gather direct insights about their challenges, motivations, and expectations. This helped shape a platform designed to connect trainers and clients smoothly while addressing common pain points like communication and trust.
I spoke directly with personal trainers to understand how they market themselves, what makes them stand out, and how they prefer to be contacted. This helped identify key selling points like verified credentials and training styles.
I analysed how people currently search for trainers, where they get stuck, what filters they use, and how long it takes to make a decision. This shaped a smoother, task-based search and booking flow.
I created two key user types trainers and clients outlining their goals, frustrations, and decision factors. This ensured the platform meets the real needs of both sides, not just one.
I broke down each step a user takes from discovering a trainer to booking them and simplified each task. This reduced friction and ensured the platform supports both quick actions and deeper exploration.
The design process created a clear, intuitive flow starting from user entry to the main listing page, where all personal trainers are displayed. From there, users can easily search, start conversations, and connect directly with trainers. This seamless flow supports both trainers and clients, making the platform efficient and user-friendly for both sides.
The platform allows users to discover and connect with fitness trainers based on their specific needs. Users can filter by location, type of training, certifications, availability, and price. This eliminates guesswork and shortens the time to decision. For trainers, the platform boosts visibility and connects them with clients who fit their expertise.
